Philodendron Nangaritense

Philodendron-Nangaritense-Product-Peppyflora-02-Moz

Philodendron Nangaritense is very popular amongst aroid lovers. Its foliage opens up a bronzish pink which darkens to green as it matures. The leaf blade is bulbs between the veins and has a red fuzzy petiole. Its fuzzy petioles have a bumpy texture which is unique amongst Philodendrons. This species exhibits more of a scrambling growth habit like Gloriosum as opposed to vining like Verrucosum.

It is an evergreen creeper or you can say climber. The leaves of this plant can grow very large. To keep this plant happy, keep it in bright indirect light, high humidity levels, and plant it in a well-draining soil mix.

This Philodendron is originally from Ecuador, but has since spread all over Central and South America. In its natural environment, this plant grows under the foliage of larger plants and crawls over the ground of the tropical rainforest. This Philodendron is very similar to the Philodendron Mamei and Philodendron Plowmanii.
