Yucca

Yucca is a genus of perennial shrubs and trees in the family Asparagaceae, subfamily Agavoideae. The root of the non-flowering plant is used to make medicine. They are native to the hot and dry parts of the Americas and the Caribbean.

Yucca is the common name for the more than 40 species of plants in the Yucca genus and are notable for their rosettes of evergreen, tough, sword-shaped leaves and large terminal panicles of white or whitish flowers.
