Anthurium Forgetii
Anthurium Forgetii is a highly rare plant. This plant is sure to make a statement in any space. The leaves are also peltate, meaning the petiole connects to the back of the leaf without a sinus. Although highly sought by plant collectors, the upside-down teardrop shape makes the plant look almost like a cartoon. With its white veins, round leaves and velvety texture, this plant is a must-have for any collector or plant enthusiast.
Not much is known about this Anthurium, no one is quite sure where the first specimen was collected. Some say it originates from Colombia. In fact, so little is known about the plant in the wild that botanical institutes don’t even list the species name ‘Forgetii’. Although the species might not be recognized by science, we recognize Anthurium Forgetii as an important addition to any aroid collection. Their dark velvety foliage has silver veining that practically sparkles.
Like other Anthuriums it also doesn’t like direct sunlight and the leaves can be burned. Keep in bright indirect light and well draining media. It doesn’t need much care but while doing so always think about the Amazon rain forest. This plant requires a lot of humidity to grow well. That’s why it is better to place this plant with other indoor plants.
