Areca palm
The Areca Palm, or Dypsis lutescens, formerly known as Chrysalidocarpus lutescens, is a great palm for a tropical splash in the summertime on home patios and building entrances. It is one of the most widely used palms for bright interiors. It features feathery, arching fronds, each with up to 100 leaflets. These big, bold plants command attention and can also thrive indoors, but it takes a lot of light for that to happen, and it’s highly rated for cleaning indoor air.
Dypsis lutescens
Areca Palm is a natural cooler that can remove xylene and toluene from the atmosphere, which is why it is one of the best air purifying plants. Also known as the Butterfly Palm, because of its arching yellowish-green fronds, and the Party Palm, because it’s widely rented for weddings and parties, this less-expensive cousin of the Kentia Palm is a great choice for a long-term relationship if you can give it great light and keep it warm. Make sure that the plant is not exposed to direct sunlight as this can cause the leaves to yellow.
