Why you'll love this
Strelitzia Reginae, more popularly known as The Bird of Paradise flower, is considered the queen of the indoor plant world for its impressive flowers and tropical large, glossy leaves that naturally split over time.
Bird of paradise
The large, upright Strelitzia Reginae, more commonly the Bird of Paradise plant, adds a rich, tropical flair to your space as its glossy, banana-shaped leaves fan out. It is relatively hardy and adapts to a wide spectrum of light conditions from direct sun to low, indirect light, but will flourish in a sunny spot. It is closely related to the banana plant.
Strelitzia reginae
It is one of the most popular houseplants in the world for good reason: it is easy to care for and its large, structural leaves bring style and grace to any setting. Bird of Paradise exhibits tall stalks carrying broad green leaves with a glossy finish and often produces new leaves. It is common for older leaves to tear and curl over time. It is easier to grow than many tropical plants and makes for a vigorous, rapidly growing indoor plant. It can be moved outside in the summer and thrives for half the year.
Also known as Crane Flower or Crane Lily, it is a species of flowering plant indigenous to South Africa. An evergreen perennial, it is widely cultivated for its dramatic flowers. These beautiful indoor plants will produce spectacular bright orange and midnight blue flowers that look a little like the head of a colourful crane. These exotic-looking flowers are surrounded by paddle-shaped, emerald green leaves, which shred with age, but remain a feature throughout the year. This beautiful bird of paradise makes an interesting house plant for a bright, well-lit room and in summer, can be plunged in the middle of a sunny border to create an instant tropical effect.
