Epipremnum Amplissimum Aurea Variegata, commonly known as Epipremnum Yellow Variegated, is a rare aroid with yellow variegated leaves. It’s member of the Araceae family of plants and its natural habitat is in parts of Australia and New Guinea, Growing naturally up trees in the wild.

Grown for the leaves over the flowers, which rarely occur in cultivation, Epipremnum Amplissimum Aurea Variegata is an attractive foliage houseplant. Long, lance-shaped leaves cover the vine closely together, nearly like armour. It tends to revert to plain green and short round leaves with insufficient lighting. The leaves can reach up to 60cm.

Place in bright partial shade and a well-draining, airy soil mix for optimal growth, this plant will enjoy regular misting. You could also group it with other houseplants to increase the humidity or place on a pebble tray.

In a natural position Epipremnum Amplissimum grows in the wetlands of a lush rainforest, where it climbs trees with aerial roots. It is a less known species than the popular Golden Epipremnum, harder to get and sought after by collectors. This one likes bright locations with lots of diffused light, slightly more moist soil than the popular Golden Epipremnum, but the substrate should dry a little before re-watering.
