Sansevieria Boncel Mini
Starfish Sansevieria
Sansevieria Boncel Mini or Starfish Sansevieria is a succulent plant with fat short leaves and does not grow as tall as Sansevieria Cylindrica. The leaves spread out like a fan and given time produce offsets that will fill the pot with similar fan-like growths. If grown in bright enough light this plant can produce up to 3 foot (90 cm) spike-like raceme of pink-budded white flowers.
Starfish Sansevieria is not found in most houses as it is one of those rare snake plants. Dracaena Angolensis is found in South Africa and known for its hardiness, low light requirements and easy care. It’s the perfect decorative plant for around the home or office, a great choice for beginner gardeners.
It is highly recommended for bedrooms, and the living rooms. It can be used as a table top plant. Sansevieria will adapt to different light levels, however the colours are enhanced in bright, filtered conditions.
Sansevieria is in the list of NASA’s air purifying plants. Research has shown that the broad leaves of Sansevieria soak up toxins and carbon dioxide and produce oxygen to help purify the air in the room. It also purifies and cleans indoor air by removing toxins such as formaldehyde and benzene. Since they produce oxygen mainly at night, Sansevierias make excellent bedroom companions.
