Watermelon Dischidia Ovata is a beautiful trailing species with leaves that are shaped like eggs, and that’s why it’s called ‘Ovata’. The leaves have a pattern that looks like the rind of a watermelon, which is why it’s called the Watermelon Dischidia. They’re not an overly demanding plant and can make an easy addition to most tropical setups. It is easy to grow and can make a great addition to your collection of houseplants!

Add a touch of tropical charm to your home with the Watermelon Dischidia Ovata. Whether you’re a seasoned plant parent or just starting your plant journey, this unique and low-maintenance plant is sure to bring joy and beauty to any space. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to add this one-of-a-kind plant to your collection.

Dischidias are trailing, twining, or vining epiphytes and are considered the sister genus of Hoya. It’s also a great choice for those with limited indoor space, as it can thrive in small containers and doesn’t require a lot of room to grow.

When it comes to care, the Watermelon Dischidia Ovata prefers bright, indirect light and well-draining soil. It’s important to allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Do Not let Dischidia sit in excess water. Although Dischidia can be grown in full sun or high light conditions, leaves may bleach or yellow from the light stress so it is advised to grow them in medium to low light levels. Dischidia are considerably hardy and tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions, but for the best growth it is recommended to provide higher levels of humidity.
