Why you'll love this
Monstera Laniata Variegated is highly coveted by tropical houseplant fans and collectors. Its large, variegated deep green, broad, glossy leaves and interesting fenestrations make it a beautiful and decorative plant.
Monstera laniata variegated
Monstera Laniata Variegated is a subspecies of Adansonii but it is more beautiful for its large glossy variegated leaves. It is an excellent houseplant for any home or office. The fenestrations are the key to this plant. Native to the Oaxaca region of Mexico, Central America, tropical South America, and the West Indies, the Monstera Laniata Variegated has more fenestrations per leaf compared with Adansonii, and they’re symmetrical and located right next to the midrib.
This Monstera is also very easy to care for, as long as it has moist and warm conditions. The plant has a vining habit and often grows entwined in and around itself, with new leaves and vines sometimes growing through the holes in existing leaves. This can lead to leaves tearing which gives the plant a shabby chic rather that pristine appeal.
Place the Monstera in a semi shady or light spot, in filtered sunlight. Make sure the potting soil is always mildly moist, but not wet. It’s best to water the plant regularly, and to give small amount of water each time, just enough to moisten the potting soil. We also recommend regularly misting the leaves to maintain a high humidity.
